Katie stood with Caroline and Elena, Damon had convinced her this was a good idea, however she’d asked he not come to the spell, but be close by. She looked at Elena and Caroline, “Now I can bring him back, but he’ll still be all cold and stuff as he was when he left. I don’t know how long it’ll take to work either. It’s like a blood call, from friends, family and -“ Katie paused and looked at Elena, “And a love to him.” She got out everything from her bag and placed it onto the table in the middle of the main living space in the Salvatore Boarding house. Performing the spell at Stefan’s home would increase the power, not to mention having a vampire and doppelgänger helped. She knew that there was a chance this wouldn’t work, however she had to give it a shot. She started to put a few things in the pot that had been left for her. She started to mutter a few words as she turned to the candle and lit them the same way as she was sure the girls had seen Bonnie do before. “Ok let’s start this.”
As the smoke rose up from the pot and the lightening was joined by a clap of thunder Katie raised an eyebrow, summoning a vampire, it was new for her and that wasn’t something she had said in a while. “Ok. Elena, Caroline, hands please.” She told them and then opened the vial of Damon’s blood into the pot, “The blood of family,” She cut Caroline’s hand, “The blood of a friend,” Katie moved onto Elena’s, “The blood of a lover.” She then smooth swiped the blade across her own finger as the wind caught up and blew strongly outside, “The blood of the witch… our blood calls to him, Stefan Salvatore, to return home from once he came. Éist leis na focail seo, éisteacht mo rím. Lorg againn ar ais an leannán, an cara. Iarraimid ar an spiorad a thabhairt ar ais dó a chur chugainn. Ar an sciatháin na gaoithe sheoladh chuig ár teachtaireacht a thabhairt ar ais dó a chur chugainn. éist lenár focail, bheannaigh a bheith.” Katie easily rhymed off the Gaelic words with ease to the spell. With another crack of the thunder and lightning outside the smoke all shrunk back into the pot. The weather outside totally calmed as if the eye of the storm had taken over Mystic Falls.
Katie looked at the two girls, as the sudden silence became somewhat eerie to all of them. She was about to speak to say that she was sure it should have worked when the door opened and she turned waiting whoever it was. Knowing their luck, it was probably Damon moaning about being caught in the witch brewed storm. “Now’s the part in the horror movie the axe murderer appears.” She muttered moving away from the spell area to see who had entered the Boarding House. As far as Katie was concerned the spell had been successful and nothing else would happen... she was wrong.

C aroline was a bundle of emotions. Excited, nervous, scared, but most of all, she was anxious. Anxious to bring Stefan home. He was Elena's boyfriend, and she wanted to help Elena in anything she needed, but Stefan was also Caroline's friend as well. But the frightened part of Caroline was afraid of how broken her friend would be if she saw Stefan again. Regardless of Caroline's conflicting emotions, she approached the Salvatore house in her car and parked in the round driveway, getting out with a sigh. Apparently an old friend of Damon's, Katie Daren, was helping them out. Caroline then continued inside. The blonde vampire opened the large, Victorian aged doors to the Salvatore Boardinghouse and walked inside, looking around for Katie and Elena, sporting a white and beige lace tank top, a pair of dark skinny jeans, a pair of dark brown boots, all accompanied by a tan satchel at her side, a beige sweater, and a gold, heart-shaped locket around her neck, Caroline's long, curly blonde hair up in a high pony tail. "Elena? Katie?" Caroline called. She bit her bottom lip as she closed her eyes, releasing her lip and focusing in on Katie and Elena's heartbeats. Once the two were located, Caroline blurred to the room holding the ingredients, Elena, and Katie. Damon was nowhere in sight. "Where's Damon?" Caroline asked, setting her stuff down on a chair, and taking off the sweater. "Let me guess not here. You'd think he'd want his brother back." Caroline commented, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. She didn't necessarily like Damon. They had sort of a love/hate relationship, but lately, what with all his pursuit of Elena's affection, it was mainly strong dislike for the, as she called the Salvatore in her own mind, 'arrogant ass.'Caroline, after that, remained silent, waiting for Katie to start. ( "This is Katie." "This will be Elena." "This is Caroline." 'This is Caroline's thoughts.') "Now I can bring him back, but he'll still be all cold and stuff as he was when he left. I don’t know how long it’ll take to work either. It’s like a blood call, from friends, family and-" Katie had said. Caroline's eyes followed Katie's gaze to Elena. "And a love to him." Katie then finished. Caroline sighed, captivating her bottom lip once again with a sigh, before releasing it once more. "Are you sure you want to do this Elena?" Caroline asked, worried for her friend. Of course, why did Caroline even ask? She already knew Elena's answer. Yes. Of course Elena wanted to bring Stefan back. Thoughtful as Elena may be, Caroline knew from years and years of knowing her since they were children that Elena Gilbert was as stubborn as a cow. Caroline looked to Katie. "Alright, let's get this over with." Caroline said, holding out her palm for Katie to cut, just as the witch had requested. "The blood of family," Caroline winced slightly as Katie cut her palm. Caroline's blood dripped into the bowl. "The blood of a friend," Katie then said. Caroline shut her eyes as Katie cut Elena's palm, trying to keep the blood lust under control. Once it was handled, Caroline's baby blue orbs opened again. Caroline watched as Katie continued on with the spell. Once Katie started to chant, Caroline looked around the boardinghouse, and the outside. Wind was blowing fiercely, causing a feeling of anxiousness to rise in Caroline's gut. "The blood of the witch... our blood calls to him, Stefan Salvatore, to return home from once he came. Éist leis na focail seo, éisteacht mo rím. Lorg againn ar ais an leannán, an cara. Iarraimid ar an spiorad a thabhairt ar ais dó a chur chugainn. Ar an sciatháin na gaoithe sheoladh chuig ár teachtaireacht a thabhairt ar ais dó a chur chugainn. éist lenár focail, bheannaigh a bheith." Katie then finished. "Now’s the part in the horror movie the axe murderer appears." Katie said. Caroline took a deep breath, looking around for the result. Where was Stefan? "Did it... work?" Caroline asked, slightly skeptical.

just one word from you and it's over

Elena pulled up into the drive of the Salvatore boarding house, in the same place she had ever since she had met Stefan. It was a habit that she had continued long after he had gone, just so there was a way she could remember the Stefan that used to care about her. It was silly, and she knew she had to let those habits go if she was going to get over him, but she just wasn't ready to get over him. He was the one person who had made sense after her parents died, and now he was gone she felt like she had nothing. Of course she had Jeremy and her two closest friends, but then there was Damon who had only made things ten times worse by trying to make her admit feelings she may or may not have. To be honest, she had no idea what she felt anymore. Only that she needed to get Stefan back, and hope to god that things would be sorted out. But things were never sorted out, and the hope she had for that was just going to let her down, but that was all she had right now to keep her from giving into the feelings for Damon that she had buried so deep. [break] [break] Elena walked up to the doors of the boarding house, slowly pushing them open and seeing Katie and Caroline already there. Having known Bonnie, Elena knew that magic was not always the most reliable. More so at the fact that Katie was trying to help a vampire, and from experience, she knew that the witches were not always the most sympathetic when it came to them. Hell, Bonnie was one of the most powerful witches around and even then some of the witches refused to help her, unless it benefited them. What they were about to do was a total risk, but it was better than trying nothing. Anything was better than leaving Klaus to manipulate and control Stefan until all the humanity in him was gone completely. "Hey guys..." Elena said, half halfheartedly at the site of the the beginning of the ritual that was meant to bring Stefan back. She looked to Katie, and the to Caroline who seemed a lot more enthusiastic about what they were going to do. Although, that was not the hardest thing to do at the moment. [break] [break] Quickly, Elena made her way over to the others looking to Katie with an expression of slight fear. "It's okay, Katie." She said warmly. "You don't have to feel so bad about saying that.." As much as she knew it was complicated, there was no point in trying to sugar coat the fact that she did love Stefan. After all, it was the reason she was trying to find him. Hell, the reason Damon was trying to find him, even though she knew that Damon was in love with her. It was as if she was leading him on, but that was the only way she wouldn't loose either of them. It might have been selfish, but she could not bare the pain of one of them leaving the only place they had made a home of in years. The only thing she knew for sure, was that she was not going to do the same thing as Katherine. Elena was not going to split them up, at least not intentionally. If she had to, she would leave, but she knew that would be difficult, because she knew they would follow her. Maybe, for that reason, she should let Stefan go, but she couldn't. She at least needed to get him back and make him find his humanity, because she at least owed him that. [break] [break] Damon's probably drinking, being the eternal pessimist he is when it comes to the witches.." Elena said, disappointingly as she turned to face Caroline. She then turned to Katie as she began to start the ritual, watching as a cloud of smoke arose from the pot, which was then followed by a loud clap of thunder. Elena then held out her hand in response to Katie's request, but rather too confidently due to the fact of how many people had taken her blood. Doppelganger blood. The most sort after blood in the entire world! “The blood of family,” A vial, of what she assumed, was Damon's blood, was then poured into the pot. Caroline's hand was then cut open, and some of her blood then poured into the pot. “The blood of a friend,” Then it was Elena's blood, and she allowed the knife to tear across her hand and then the blood to drip into the pot. "I'm sure Caroline. I'll try anything to get him back.." Elena said appreciatively of her friend's concern. She winced at the pain, and the feeling of her blood leaving her hand. “The blood of a lover.” [break] [break] Now it as all up to Katie, as Elena then listened to her chant the words that Bonnie had seemed to use so frequently for her spells. "Honestly, that's the least threatening person that could turn up from this.." Elena said, glancing to the door as someone entered. "Hopefully, Caroline. Otherwise we are probably gonna end up dead." Elena took a few steps back from the door, in hope of some sort of protection from the distance.

Stefan was on a mission for Klaus. He was obsessed with finding wolves and making more hybrids. They kept coming up with dead ends that led no where but this new lead seemed promising. It was this guy Ray and he was sure he was a pack alpha and could lead him to his pack. He wanted to be sure that Ray was a wolf before he told Klaus. He was in the bar called Southern Comfort outside of Tennessee and he sat there thinking about all the things he had done since he left Mystic Falls with Klaus. It wasn't pretty but he had to do it to save his brother. He knew that Damon and Elena would be looking for him but he knew he could never go home again. He had killed way too many people and he knew it was only a matter of time before the ripper came out. He compelled the bartender to tell him when Ray showed up and he took a bottle of Bourbon and walked outside. All the blood and the killing and the guilt were taking their toll on him. He needed a release. Suddenly he felt himself being pulled away. It was unlike anything he had felt before and before he could react, he was gone in a flash. He didn't know how or why but he was at the boarding house door. He was standing there when he saw a woman appear but he didn't know who she was but there was something familiar about her like he knew her. He saw Caroline and he thought that it was strange to see her in his dream of being home. Then he saw her, it was Elena and he knew that it wasn't a dream, he was back home. He looked at Elena "Elena what is going on? How am I here right now?" He asked as he started questioning everything that happened and then something dawned on him, if Klaus found out he was gone he would kill Damon and he started freaking out "No I can't be here. He will kill Damon." He speeds over to the woman he when he first appeared and grabbed her "You have to send me back. Please you have to." He said as he shook her a little and then the shock started to set in from everything that happened and he got dizzy "I don't feel so good." Then Stefan passed out and fell to the floor unconscious.
