Ella can be a nice girl. The volunteers at a hospital on weekends, reads to kids at a library, charity type girl. But it wasn't just Ella that got her into it. It was her best friend, Caroline Forbes. Caroline is responsible for a big part of Ella's personality. Ella is the type of girl who only sees the good in people. Like Caroline, she's always trying to fix people, sometimes even people that can't be fixed.
But there is also a side of her that can be a bit of a bad girl. The party-all-night-long, sleep-around type. She can really be a badass bitch when she wants to, but mostly she's a good girl. But currently, Ella is slightly on edge, and paranoid seeing as she believes she is the cause of her family's death, so her bad girl side has been dormant, but she might not always be. She just needs some good friends to crack the bad girl side of her out.

Elizabeth Katherine Edwards was born eighteen years ago in Mystic Falls, Virginia. She was born to two parents, a witch and a warlock, and they put her up for adoption. She was, in fact, adopted by two human parents who lived right next to the Forbes'. Ella and Caroline grew up at the hip, completely inseparable, but when Caroline met Bonnie Bennett and Elena Gilbert, they grew apart. Ella had still been close with Caroline and was still friends with Elena and Bonnie, but she never felt like she was at place in the group. But something happened when she was twelve.
She had to move away. Her and her parents moved away from Mystic Falls. They moved to California. So that's where she stayed. Away from Caroline, Elena, and Bonnie, Ella grew more rebellious and sad, and a little bit angry. She had anger issues, and with an untapped source of magic, that was a bad thing. So that's why the worst thing of her life happened during her Junior year of High School. That's when her parents decided to tell her that she was adopted. She was seventeen, almost eighteen. Ella got so mad, it's when she really tapped into her magic.

She woke up in the hospital the next morning, her parents dead, but one thing was for sure in her mind. She had caused that fire. Ella had killed her family. Now, Ella has moved back to Mystic Falls to live with her grandmother, her witch powers still unstable, as a waitress at the Mystic Grill.
