Skylar was born in Italy after her mother moved from Spain. When she was only six she witnessed her mother hung after being wrongfully accused of witchcraft. Vayne, having felt compassion for the young girl tried to step in, but was too late but managed to slaughter those involved.Vayne offered to take her with him and she hesitantly agreed to it. He raised her like a daughter, but he always introduced her as his little sister. When she was old enough she asked him to turn her into a vampire which he reluctantly agreed to not wanting her to live a life covered in blood. They spent most of their lives in the USA traveling around and sometimes being separated in order to pursue their own lives. Vayne acts light hearted when it comes to her more like a brother rather then a father. He'd prefer to laugh when she messes up rather then come down on her.
