MACKENZIE DAREN
MAC, MACDAREN | WITCH |
SIXTEEN YRS OLD | STUDENT |
personality
Mackenzie has always been a mature young woman, way mature than others her age. Of course, unlike other teenagers, she was never one to be rebellious, however, she was known to be more honest and respectful than her other peers. Unlike many females her age, she isn’t insecure but she doesn’t flaunt it and isn’t one to show the world that she is more comfortable in her own skin. Although she isn’t rebellious, she is known to be adventurous of sorts and grasps anything new in her fist and refuses to let it go. She is also known to be rather smart for her age, holding herself high in the grading scale. She is also rather independent, but that doesn’t mean she won’t allow others to help her. She is also very empathetic, being close to both her parents and her aunt.
background
As the sky grew dark and the first flutter of snow landed upon the ground, a cry pierced the air. A beautiful baby girl was born to Nikita Miller and Josh Daren in the world of wedlock. Due to this birth, she was never told about her father or even got to know him due to him not really being a part of her life due to his hunter nature. Apart of Mackenzie Daren doesn’t care to learn and meet her father, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t curious about the male. But all she needed was her mother, and that was what she was thankful for as the two grew close with age. And just like Nikita, she had raised her daughter right. She was never spoiled, never treated differently because she was her mother’s only child, but she was a child that was grateful for what she had and didn’t press for things that she wanted. She knew that life was hard and thus her mother knew that her daughter was the perfect child that any woman could have.
Mackenzie, although a bright and caring girl, she didn’t have as many friends as others did. Maybe it was because she was too mature and polite for her age, but she mostly just kept to herself and the few friends that she did have. Her nature made her care for them, but that didn’t mean she never saw her mother as just her mother, but also as her friend. Of course, this got her teased in school and she was forced to hold the title of a loner from a young age, but she didn’t care. She was happy with her life, how she was and where she was going with it. But things began to change as her eleventh birthday came and passed. While her father was in town hunting a group of werewolves, their lives were thrust into a fire. It was then that she met her father for the first time, him having come to visit and forced a fight between both her parents while Mackenzie was forced to listen from above.
Although she didn’t really know the man, she still held a small daughterly love for the man that brought her into the world. But things went back to normal as her father disappeared once more and left a disappointed Mackenzie in his wake. But this disappointment was filled with keeping in touch with her father, a promise that he had left her with before disappearing into the night. A once empty abyss of nothing was now filled with phone calls and visits that continued for the next year. He even took her to meet her aunt, a woman by the name of Katie. And the two instantly clicked, or rather, Mackenzie felt a sudden pull towards the woman, a pull that she didn’t understand. She felt safe with the aunt that she had recently met something that comforted her whenever the woman was around.
Of course this didn’t change, especially the next year when Mackenzie turned twelve that her mother was killed. She had forgotten to pick her up from school, a normal routine that the two were known to do each day. They would walk home together, talk about their day and laugh. But this time, she was forced to walk by herself and the first person she called as soon as she got home was her father. Quickly her life was thrust into the fire once more and she was sent to live with her Aunt Katie while he looked for her mother’s killed. And Katie seemed to fill the role of her mother pretty quickly, but it would never be her mother. But it was close enough, and living in D.C was enough for her. She continued with all her classes, continued with her life.
Of course, this was until quite recently that the two of them moved back to Katie and Josh’s hometown of Mystic Falls. Now at the age of sixteen, Mackenzie seems to slowly be changing, her unknown powers slowly revealing themselves to the world. But Mackenzie doesn’t understand what is going on nor does she know that she is surrounded by supernaturals within the little so-called, quiet town of Mystic Falls.
